Woke is nu echt te ver gegaan

Als de zoon van een zittende president al niet meer een beetje van het leven mag genieten, en de aanstaande president niet een paar Excel sheets met wat staatsroddels in z'n badkamer mag bewaren voor de volgende ronde. Zijn de Verenigde Staten dan nog wel verenigd? Is de leider van de vrije wereld dan nog wel vrij? Boven- en onderstaande foto's zijn 'handouts' uit de US Departement of Justice nu openbare **aanklacht (PDF) waarin Trump beschuldigd wordt van 37 vormen van presidentieel en ex-presidentieel kattenkwaad.

De documenten betroffen o.a. topgeheime materie over "US nuclear programs, potential military vulnerabilities of the US and allies, and plans for US retaliation in the event of an attack". Trump wordt o.a. beschuldigd van 'samenzwering' om de documenten nadat hij ze meenam vanuit het Witte Huis verborgen te houden van aanklagers en een federal grand jury.

Ook wordt hij ervan beschuldigd tijdens zijn presidentschap ongeoorloofd om te gaan met staatsgeheime informatie. "Federal prosecutors presented evidence that Trump shared materials concerning a US “plan of attack” against Iran at a July 2021 meeting at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, where he was recorded urging his guests to read the document while admitting it was “secret” and not declassified. The second incident in the indictment occurred months later in August or September 2021 when Trump shared a top secret military map with a staffer at his political action committee, but he admitted he should not be showing the map because it was classified and the staffer should not get too close."

Enfin, de Trumpiaanse slag dus. Maar die documenten lagen verder onbewaakt te Mar-a-Lago, waar Trump-medewerkers zonder enige security clearance de documenten ook onder ogen kwamen. De onderstaande foto uit december 2021 werd aangetroffen werd in die toestand aangetroffen door medewerkers.

Nauta texted another Trump employee: “I opened the door and found this ...” and sent two photos of the spill. One of the photos showed classified information.
