Man van het volk spreekt uit 't hart

Wat weet-ie veel hè. Bovenstaand zijn slechts twee minuten en 20 seconden van zijne hoogheids gehele speech. Gelukkige hebben we het volledige transcript nog. Gaat over Fit for 55 en dat verwijst niet naar Frans' gemiste streefgewicht van vijf jaar geleden. Waar de speech op neerkomt: rond 2050 moet heel Europa CO2-neutraal zijn, dat wordt heel erg duur maar we gaan "the age-old political instrument of redistribution" Europabreed inzetten om te garanderen dat die kosten zelfs in Zuid-Europa door ONZE tanende middenstand worden gedragen. Onderstaand een paar van de meest Timmermansiaanse geschenken aan zijn drie toehoorders.

Best wel belangrijke noot: dat stond dus absoluut helemaal niet in het IPCC-rapport, maar het is wel wat alle media en vooral Nieuwsuur ervan maakte.

Nou Jan Modaal, dat wordt lappen en ohja succes met die warmtepomp.

Nou, u was al bekend met de transferunie. Maar Frans introduceert hier dus even terloops de energietransitie-unie, waarbij ONZE tanende middenstand opdraait voor de CO2-neutralisering in Zuid-Europa.
