Bovenstaand nieuw verschenen beelden van een tweevoudige Hamas-executie van vrouwelijke Nova-festivalgangers nabij kibboets Alumim. "Partygoers had arrived in the area after fleeing Hamas's attack on the rave near Re'im. The clip shows the terrorists surprising the Israelis after arriving from within Alumim." De twee vrouwen vluchten maar worden ingehaald door een Hamas-infiltrant. Na een korte worsteling schiet hij de eerste vrouw van zeer dichtbij dood. De tweede vrouw hurkt 28 heel lange seconden voor haar moordenaar voordat ook zij met 1 schot gedood wordt. Je vraagt je af wat er die 28 seconden door beider hoofden ging.

Militair verslaggever Roy Sharon van het Israëlische Kann News meldde gisteravond op tv dat "Israël akkoord is met de voorwaarden voor een gijzelaarsdeal" en dat "de bal nu bij Hamas ligt." Eergisteravond klonken er ook al veel positieve geluiden uit die hoek, maar ontkende Hamas op het laatste moment toch dat er een deal was. Kortom, erg beweeglijk allemaal, maar het lijkt zich toch héél gestaag vooruit te bewegen. 

Wellicht dat Israëls aanhoudende druk op Hamas hierin een rol speelt, want de IDF-operatie in Stadsdeel Zuid lijkt nu ook aanstaande. ABC News meldt: "Israel will be operating in southern Gaza soon, according to an Israeli official. The official said operations in southern Gaza will be more "targeted." The official said the actual "safe" zone would be in the sparsely populated Muwassi area in southwest Gaza. But the official said Israeli forces would still strike there if need be."

In ander nieuws meldt de IDF dat het nu zo'n 300 Hamas-strijders heeft ondervraagd, en ook Gazaanse burgers in 'ongekende aantallen, vrijwillig en pro-actief' informatie over Hamas verschaffen. "We received thousands of phone calls from [Palestinians willing to provide information] at a magnitude never before seen in the unit. It is evident that the residents of the Gaza Strip are not satisfied with the barbaric behavior of Hamas. The ordinary citizen understands that Hamas is bringing a disaster on the residents of Gaza that will be difficult for them to recover from." Duizenden telefoontjes, dat is bepaald significant en zegt echt wel iets over Hamas' draagvlak.

Update 08:48 - In tegenstelling tot eerdere geruchten lijkt de Jewish Space Lazer - in saaiere wandelgangen bekend als Iron Beam, niet te verwarren met Iron Biem Iem al Biyati - nu daadwerkelijk operationeel ingezet. Update 09:44 - Op dit moment niet te verifiëren, maar deze video is opmerkelijk genoeg om alsnog te delen. Update 11:40 - Libanese media melden dat er twee Libanese journalisten zijn gedood in een IDF-aanval langs de grens. Vermeende foto van nasleep hier. Hun laatste videoreportage mogelijk vlak voor de aanval hier. Het betreffende kanaal Almayadeen (wiki) staat bekend als Hezbollah-kanaal, over mogelijke nabijheid van Hezbollah-troepen is op dit moment niets bekend.

Update 12:51 - De enige gijzelaars die Amnesty International op Twitter plaatst zijn de niet-Israëlische Aziaten.
Update 13:02 - Weer een videonovum: IDF toont POV-beelden van nachtelijke operatie in night vision en zichtbare laser-richtstralen en een Negev LMG-schutter die volautomatisch gaat in een 'verlaten' leslokaal.
Update 14:08 - Spanningen lopen heel hoog op in Libanon "after an Israeli targeted strike killed one of the most senior Hamas leaders in the country along with five other of his associates as he traveled between Al Shaitiya and Al Qaliyyeh."
Update 14:47 - Gijzelnieuws: "The Prime Minister's Office says that "in light of the developments regarding the release of our hostages" the war cabinet will convene at 18:00, the security cabinet at 19:00, and the government at 20:00." Naar verluidt zal er een wapenstilstand plaats gaan vinden die 4 tot 6 dagen duurt. Ook gaat de deal naar verluidt alleen over Israëlische vrouwen en kinderen.
Update 15:03 - VN-chef António Guterres kreeg gisteren extreem om de oren van de Community Notes. Hij tweette "We are witnessing a killing of civilians that is unparalleled and unprecedented in any conflict since I have been Secretary General." De note luidt: "Secretary Guterres took office in 2017, considered to be deadliest year for civilians in Syria, with over 10,000 killed. Although the Yemen War began before Guterres took office, its death toll reached 377,000 in both direct and indirect deaths during his tenure."
Update 15:28 - "Jamal Mohammed Haniyeh, the oldest grandson of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, was killed in an Israeli strike in the Gaza Strip."
Update 15:58 - Wow, IDF claimt dat het DE HELFT van Hamas' troepen heeft uitgeschakeld. "Israel says it has eliminated half of [Hamas] combat battalions, with reportedly several thousand … operatives killed … The number of rocket launches from Gaza [is] down dramatically as well. The IDF has also captured Hamas strongholds in northern Gaza."
