We citeren even de ABC News Exclusive: "Twelve countries have agreed to supply Ukraine with around 100 Leopard 2 tanks if the German government gives its consent, according to a senior Ukrainian official who spoke exclusively to ABC News. Those agreements, the source said, were made at Friday's summit at Ramstein US Air Force Base in Germany when allied nations discussed military support for Ukraine. Countries such as Poland and Finland have already indicated publicly that they are willing to provide a number of their Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. The Ukrainian official with knowledge of the matter said Spain, the Netherlands and Denmark were also willing to provide some of their tanks, however Germany's consent was still necessary for the coalition of countries to proceed on the matter."

Tuurlijk, het is maar een (1) bron en Nederland 'heeft' geen tanks om weg te geven, we leasen er 18 van Duitsland. Maar goed,  even over de ontwikkelingen. Polen heeft inmiddels wel formeel hun exportverzoek voor 14 Leopard 2-tanks bij Duitsland ingediend. Maar Duitse premier Scholz aarzelt nog steeds, en er is in feite nog niets veranderd sinds Scholz' woordvoerder zijn MinBuz Baerbock terugfloot nadat zij op Franse tv zei dat "Duitsland niet in de weg zou staan als Polen Leopard 2-tanks aan Oekraïne zou doneren." 

Wel heeft Polen - in tegenstelling tot alle andere landen - aan de EU gevraagd of het hen financieel kan "compenseren" voor de 14 tanks. Ja, dat staat niet fraai. Ondertussen lijkt Bakhmut steeds verder omsingeld te raken. Een aantal onwerkelijke beelden, na de breek.

INSTANT UPDATE: Wall Street Journal schrijft dat: "The Biden administration is leaning toward sending a significant number of Abrams M1 tanks to Ukraine and an announcement of the deliveries could come this week, U.S. officials said." Als dat gebeurt gaat ook Duitsland overstag.
